Every summer my Great Grandmother Josephine would always whip up a birthday surprise of Caramel cake for me. Honestly, this wouldn't be a surprise, considering I ate my favorite dessert every birthday! Nonetheless, it was still special. I loved the delicious burst of excitement in every bite of that cake especially the icing. This icing was so great, I even got to lick the spoon and the pot! I had to recreate this masterpiece more than once a year.
These experiences and my need for sweets were the beginning of my love for baking. I made everything from my brothers birthday cakes to rice krispy treats for church bake sales, I loved it all.
As I became older I put my hobby aside, and joined the workforce as an elementary school teacher. Every year, I would teach fractions through the art of measuring ingredients by baking cookies. My students also would create beautiful gingerbread houses for the holidays. They really enjoyed themselves! After five years, of feeling limited the classroom, I walked away from the noble profession of teaching, and decided to pursue a career where I truly can influence children and strengthen community, with no limitations.
I proudly present to you my Lunchbox Bakery. This business has been in the makings for many many years. Assorted Cookies, Cakes, Granola, Cupcakes, Candies are available for any occasion.
